GLO is a foster care & adoption ministry that was launched by Amber Chacko on December 10, 2012. The mission of GLO is to promote foster care and adoption awareness and action in the church and community. God loves orphans, and we do too.
Foster care ministry is my heart and when I left my full-time job as a foster parent recruiter and trainer, God called me to stand in the gap. There are so many gaps in the foster care system...so many needs left unment.
Providing ongoing community and support for foster families, particularly in Parker, Tarrant, and Johnson County fills an important gap. These families are on the frontline of the orphan crisis, and they desperately need a safe place to be heard and supported. Not only that, but they are required to earn up to 30 hours of training each year. GLO provides attendees with 2 hours of continuing education credits each month.

Foster and adoptive families need community. GLO Groups provide the opportunity for these families to connect, learn and support each other.
